A family concert of a special kind with music by Gordon Kampe for children aged 5 and older and their families. Two actors and a chamber music ensemble tell the moving story of the well-known Grimm fairy tale Sechse kommen durch die ganze Welt, which explores themes of solidarity and communal spirit. The large children’s choir lets the heroes speak for themselves with thrilling songs.
The story of the wandering six is quickly told: A war has ended. For years, the soldier has faithfully served his king. But now he is discharged with only a single coin as payment. With no other option, he sets out to travel the world. Along the way, he encounters five people with incredible abilities: the first is a muscleman, the second has mastered archery, the third is a storm magician, the fourth is a sprinter, and the fifth is an ice wizard. In this sextet, they arrive at the court of a greedy and cruel king, who wants to imprison and burn them among other things. However, thanks to their skills and their sense of unity, the six manage to avert disaster and, through a clever trick, also take the king's treasures. The six are certain: “When we are together, we should be able to conquer the whole world!”
