Conductors: Jobst Liebrecht, Andreas Frey, Martina Feldmann, Mara Amina Zoccola, Bridget Kinneary

Since its founding in 2011, the Freie Jugendorchesterschule Berlin, which introduces even the youngest children to playing in an orchestra, has been a regular guest at Klangwerkstatt Berlin. This year, they are once again presenting a captivating and experimental program. In a large orchestral formation and smaller ensembles, sometimes funny, sometimes sad, sometimes joyful and sometimes wistful – this year’s concert of the Freie Jugendorchesterschule Berlin revolves around the musical challenge of mountain tours and sea voyages. The program features works by Andreas Frey, Jobst Liebrecht, George Dreyfus, as well as by the adolescent composition student Arthur Gabriel Wagner Henderson.
