The EnsembleKollektiv Berlin presents the world premiere of a new version of the large-scale work ORACLES I–V (listening spaces) by Chiyoko Szlavnics. The composition turns the performance space itself into a sound-shaping element: the spatially distributed ensemble makes resonances, timbres, and acoustic relationships within the church space directly perceptible. Originally created for the Abbey of Bellelay, the work is now specially adapted for the acoustics of St. Thomas Church Berlin. The result is a site-specific reinterpretation that actively incorporates the space into the musical experience.
